Laura’s Bread.

Anyone who tries this bread raves about it. Made at the farm, and now you can make it too!

If you want to bring home your own loaf from the farm, simply call 24 hours ahead of time and Laura will make a loaf especially for you.

Ingredients

  • Dutch oven

  • Parchment paper

  • Baking sheet

  • Bowl and mixer

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1¼ tsp salt

  • ⅛ tsp yeast

  • 1½ cups and 2 tsp water

Instructions

  1. 12-18 hours prior to when you want to bake the bread, mix flour, salt, yeast, and water together in a bowl. Let it rise overnight.

  2. Preheat the Dutch oven to 440 degrees.

  3. Take the risen dough out of the bowl, place it on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, then put it into the preheated Dutch oven.

  4. Cover and bake approximately 35-40 minutes*, or until it is light brown.

  5. Remove the cover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes*.
