Innkeeping Assistant Couple

Join our full-time, multi-faceted team while living onsite

Are you and a partner ready to be part of a dedicated and hardworking team, delivering outstanding experiences for guests in a unique desert canyon setting?

Our inn consists of five casitas, an Airstream, and two larger homes and our orchard includes about 900 stone fruit and citrus trees. We strive to foster a space where hospitality and service are shared responsibilities, ensuring that all individuals, workers, and guests alike experience care and respect in every interaction.

Our location is extremely remote, situated five miles from the West Entrance of the Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness Area. We are located about 1.5 hours northeast of Tucson and 2 hours southeast of Phoenix, between Mammoth and Winkelman.

Being a self-starter and having the ability to work with little to no supervision is imperative. We are a very small and close-knit staff, so being reliable and consistent is important to make sure that everyone on the team can get tasks completed in a timely manner.

Depending on your skill set, your daily tasks will vary. It could include anything from cooking, guest services, grounds maintenance, orchard work, housekeeping, and sometimes random things that guests or the property might need. Your responsibilities may include some of the following:

Housekeeping – The casitas need daily attention, which includes dishes, laundry, trash pickup, and helping guests with any special requests. You’ll also be responsible for inspecting units before guest arrivals, so maintaining high cleanliness standards is crucial. On occasion, you may need to clean in-house, so previous housekeeping experience is a plus.

Cooking – We have a small cafe menu with breakfast items, baked goods, and snacks. In the future, we may offer occasional communal dining events and breakfast, so a passion for cooking on a small scale is a great bonus!

Guest Services & Reservations – If you enjoy interacting with people, we’ll train you to handle reservations, check guests in and out, take payments, and ensure guests feel at home. Occasionally, we host groups that rent out the entire property, and this is when our guest service truly shines.

Animal Care – We only have 6 chickens right now, and care duties for them are shared and rotated among staff.

Grounds & Orchard Maintenance – Grounds and orchard maintenance are ongoing tasks. This includes watering, weed whacking, plant care, pool maintenance, tree thinning, pruning, and harvesting fruit, ensuring there is always something to do.

Compensation includes $18 per hour, housing, all utilities, and internet provided.

The average schedule is 30-40 hours per week, subject to change based on the needs of the property. You must be available to work holidays, weekends, and occasional evenings as needed. The position is open to start starting October 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026, with preference given to those who want to stay on long-term.

A valid driver’s license is required, and you must have a reliable vehicle that can handle a remote, hilly dirt road with a small creek crossing (typically 6-10 inches of water).

Please send us an email with your resume to info@aravaipafarms.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
