Housekeeper

Join Our Local, Part-Time Housekeeping Team!

Are you looking to be part of a dedicated and hardworking team? If you’re ready to provide excellent service and ensure a comfortable experience for our guests, we’d love to have you join us!

Our inn consists of five casitas, an Airstream, and two larger homes. We strive to foster a space where hospitality and service are shared responsibilities, ensuring that all individuals, workers, and guests alike experience care and respect in every interaction. Our location is extremely remote, situated five miles from the West Entrance of the Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness Area. We are located about 1.5 hours northeast of Tucson and 2 hours southeast of Phoenix, between Mammoth and Winkelman.

We seek individuals who are interested in assisting with housekeeping and laundry duties in a team-oriented environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning Rooms — We maintain high standards of cleanliness as a reflection of the care and respect we have for all those who enter our space. Cleaning the casitas involves vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, cleaning windows, scrubbing showers and toilets, removing trash, washing dishes, and changing linens and bed sheets. Your efforts contribute directly to the well-being of the community.

Restocking & Organizing — Once rooms are cleaned, they must be restocked with fresh towels, dishes, and other essentials. If furniture is moved, it should be restored to its original position. Outdoor spaces should be made welcoming and ready for use. Attention to detail in these tasks reflects our belief in the importance of communal space being organized, accessible, and well-maintained.

Laundry — Laundry is a vital task in our daily operations, and it’s important that we all contribute to this shared responsibility. You may work a full day's laundry shift or assist for a few hours, depending on the needs of the team. Your tasks will include gathering dirty linens, operating the washing machines and dryers, folding the clean linens, and properly storing them in their designated places.

Dishwashing — As part of the daily cycle, you will collect dirty dishes from the rooms, clean them in our commercial dishwasher, and return them to the casitas or store them as needed. This is a fundamental part of the team’s effort to ensure that everything is in its place.

Team Communication — Our work is a team effort, and communication is central to ensuring everything runs smoothly. We believe that open, honest, and frequent communication is essential.

We are looking for someone who is available 20-30 hours per week, 10 a.m. - 2-4 p.m. Thursday-Monday.

The workday typically starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 2-4 p.m., depending on the day’s needs. Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays is necessary to ensure that the operations run smoothly. You will be working alongside a team of part-time housekeepers and two full-time staff members. Our guiding principles are shared responsibility, mutual respect, and hospitality. If these values resonate with you, you will be a perfect fit for our community!

This position is available for immediate start and can be either seasonal or year-round. We ask for a minimum commitment of six months, with preference given to those who are interested in staying year-round. The starting hourly wage is $16, and pay is distributed twice per month.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as our location is remote and involves navigating a hilly, dirt road with a small creek crossing (typically 6-10 inches of water).

Please send us an email with your resume to info@aravaipafarms.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
