Pear Grilled Cheese.

If you’re looking for a way to spice up boring old grilled cheese, this recipe will become your new easy night go-to.

When shopping for this recipe, stop by the farmers markets or our on-site market in August through September to pick up fresh peaches.

Ingredients

  • Two slices of bread. We recommend sourdough, but any variety will work well

  • Butter, enough to toast both sides of bread

  • Fresh pears on the crunchy side, sliced

  • Egg

  • 4 slices of your preffered cheese. We used half gouda and half cheddar

Instructions

  1. Let butter melt in pan on medium heat. Toast one side of bread.

  2. Add more butter and flip bread over to other side to toast. Immediately add cheese to one slice of bread and allow to melt.

  3. If adding an egg, crack it into the pan and cook to desired finish. While egg is cooking, slice pears.

  4. Take bread off once cheese is melted. Add pears on top of cheese, and egg on top before closing the sandwich.
